People's opinion...

I read that more people voted for two amateur "American Idols" than in the last presidential election.

If people care more about these two amateurs than who runs the country, I definitely do not believe in these polls about people who are running the country and other things. I think most people's opinions are geared more towards amateur talent contests than in complicated issues. This does not make me proBush or antiBush, just wary of people with opinions.

I appreciate your comment, sdurango, in fact I grew from your comment. I surround myself with people who have opinions daily and if you know anything about me you would know that I value the counsel of others.

The "fact" that something is scientific doesn't make it true only measurable. It is people's perception from which they opine. I thought that Katharine was a better singer but next week that fact won't mean anything significant other than I think something to be something.

But the fact that so few people vote in presidential, congressional, and propositional elections REALLY concerns me.
