Bill Ekhardt came up with a great idea to have the first week of family camp be an alumni family camp. You don't need to have a family to come, you just don't need to be in college anymore.
The week for the camp is June 15-21. Would you be interested in attending? Please comment and let me know.
Great idea, Bill.

i think it sounds amazing!
We didn't know what the calendar was, but we were looking at the third week. Is that still a family camp? Which has been larger?
In a few years, when I can afford that!
That's funny. The Capps and I were just wondering if we'd ever go to family camp. And then here you are. Maybe not this year but in the future... I am in!
we would be in...in a few years...when we can afford it!
There might have been a time when the cost was prohibitive for me. More, I felt I wouldn't have fit in, so I've been longing for years to get my peers to go with me.
I remember talking to many family campers who said family camp was a steal. They said, compared to staying in hotels and paying for meals in restaurants family camp was an amazing deal. When you add child care as well... you can't match that dollar for dollar with anything.
Even for a couple without kids, $650 for six nights with meals? Try to find a bed and breakfast for that.
I understand staying with friends and family is cheaper than family camp. Venturing beyond that, though, family camp is a cheap vacation.
Tony, I checked last years schedule and I see that F1 was the incentive camp. I'm all for a reunion group going to the smaller camp. I don't know if those dates work for people I've talked to, though.
that would be awesome! Except I work here. Still awesome.
That would be amazing! Unfortunately, that is the busy season for us. I think the staff here would hunt me down. Although, maybe if I was wearing those fake nose and mustache glasses...
Dallas and I have been saying this for years (8 or so now)...but yes, the FIRST family camp is the best...camp with the Bakersfield crew. IT is the best. Jeff Arnold can back me up on this since he has 2 years under his belt now.
