Tonight...

Tonight in the middle of the Sierra Nevadas there is a small plot of ground where music and laughter rings out, commitment and forgiveness is spoken, and wonder and expectations are standing with eyes shut, hearts open, and hands entwined.

Let's hope that this continues far into the future . . .

I counseled this last week and as I look at the time stamp, truer words could not have been spoken. I had some issues in my cabin throughout the week. Until about 11pm last night. God placed on the hearts of those involved, to grant mercy and seek forgiveness. It is humbling to see how God uses our small examples, as I had to seek the forgiveness of my girls earlier that night. I know the summer can get long and is hard. God is using Calvin Crest to change lives, and make men and women of God.

Commitment night, or more particularly for me, one-on-one listening night was pretty amazing this year. It took me about an hour and a half to finish all of the conversations with my guys in Rinkwell, but it was well worth it.

I think that this is the most special night of Calvin Crest. I always love sitting and listening to how God is working in the lives of my kids from camp.
