Story...

"Ivan Illich was once asked what is the most revolutionary way to change society.
Is it violent revolution or is it gradual reform?
He gave a careful answer.
Neither.
If you want to change society,
then you must tell an alternative story."
Tim Costello

Ah but the trick to this is having the gift to see the alternative stories...a gift you have in plenty.

That is good, Tony.

I agree that it's good, but I think it's also woefully incomplete. The quotation mentions absolutely nothing about the direction of change, and one need only mention the stories told by Germany's propaganda machine in the 1930s to prove that a story is only as good (or bad) as the end to which it is directed.
