Birding...

I know that summer camp is starting when I see a Western Tanager. Today I saw 2.

Did you take this picture??!!! Gorgeous! I don't know how long I can read your blog from this office...i get so homesick for camp and the mountains I want to go do a face plant in the fake shrubbery around the lot. ;)

What's the bird that makes the "cheeseburger" sound? Love that one...

You know I have to make a comment on this amazing picture of the male Western Tanager (Piranga ludoviciana). His colors are fantastic!

Cosby's right--the "cheeseburger" bird is the Mountain Chickadee (Poecile gambeli).
